Beginning Jewelry | EVENINGS
with Luke Towne | Beginners | Adults and 16 +
Learn creative fine metalworking through demonstrations and projects geared toward the beginning jeweler. Techniques include sawing, piercing, texturing, riveting, chain making, soldering, and bezel-setting cabochon stones. Students utilize class and lab time to practice techniques and make finished pieces of jewelry. Materials and metal can be purchased at the School of Art Reception Desk. This course is suitable for both adults and teens 16 and older who are interested in beginning the art of jewelry and metal working. No previous experience is necessary.
