Discover the captivating artistic relationship between celebrated American painter Charles E. Burchfield and Munson benefactor Edward Wales Root. Beginning in 1929, the two shared a remarkable 25-year exchange inspired by art, music, and the beauty of nature. Featuring 24 vibrant and expressive watercolors from Munson’s collection, Watercolor Stories also brings together rarely seen related artwork and archival materials from the Burchfield Penney Art Center.
