Intro to Drawing with Chad Smith is designed to empower new students with a structured approach to learning how to draw. Understand basic design principles, concepts, media and formats like drawing from observation, shading, and how to use reference images. Develop the knowledge and skills in the use of basic tools and techniques needed to work from concept to finished product. Beginning & intermediate drawers are welcome. Required materials list provided.

CHAD SMITH holds a BA in drawing and painting and MFA in painting from the Academy of Art University. He is an instructor at Pratt Munson College of Art and Design, Mohawk Valley Community College as well as teaching workshops and private students. Chad has enjoyed multiple solo and group exhibitions and has New York representation in Saratoga, Lake Placid, and Old Forge.
