Art Appreciation | Women’s History Month: "Les Trois Grandes Dames" of Impressionism

with Michael Parks | All Levels, All Welcome

Learn about the “Three Great Ladies” of Impressionism. Very important Impressionist painters, each with very different stories which are seldom told: Mary Cassatt (American, 1844–1926), Berthe Morisot (French, 1841–1895), and Marie Bracquemond (French, 1840–1916). Learn about each of these women from the perspective of their role in art history and the belief that these artists, their stories, their work, SHOULD be as well known as their men counterparts in the Impressionist movement. Dive deep with three sessions focusing on each artist through presentation, visuals, and discussion.  Light refreshments and snacks sourced from local Women-owned businesses provided.
