MWPAI is a multicultural arts center with three main divisions: Museum of Art, School of Art and Performing Arts. Together, the programs of the three divisions make MWPAI the chief provider of cultural resources in the region. The Museum of Art is renowned for its art collection and Phillip Johnson-designed building. The School of Art offers the nationally accredited PrattMWP foundation program in its affiliation with Pratt Institute and a community arts education program offering art classes and workshops. The Performing Arts division offers a wide-ranging, year-round programming of artistically excellent and diverse performing arts and cinema presentations, as well as extensive educational activities.
PrattMWP College of Art and Design is an NASAD accredited foundation college art program, created through an affiliation between Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute, Utica, NY, and Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY. Students do their first two foundation years of a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at here at our campus and then matriculate to the Brooklyn campus for completion. The campus houses approximately 170 students majoring in Fine Arts, Communications Design, Photography, and Art and Design Education. Accepting applications for full time or relief (scheduled as needed) Campus Safety Officer positions. NYS Guard license required. Previous experience and familiarity with security equipment preferred. $15.50 hourly for day shifts and $16.50 hourly for evening and night shifts. AAS degree in criminal justice, previous security or law enforcement experience preferred. Must be available to work all shifts, especially nights, weekends and holidays. Our Campus Safety Officers respond in a professional and courteous manner to all interactions and to respond quickly with professional judgment during emergencies.
Campus Safety Officers perform campus patrol and dispatch responsibilities during each shift with inside and outside rounds of campus and buildings, alternating at dispatch desk. Must be able to react appropriately and quickly in emergency situations. Investigate accidents and incidents and submit timely reports. Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills required. Must be able to operate communications equipment such as two-way radio, CCTV and security alarms. Ability to effectively communicate with staff, students, faculty and visitors an integral part of position. Previous experience as radio dispatcher/telephone operator preferred.

Regular attractions include a weekly film series, Concerts in the Court, Keyboard Conversations, the For Kids and Families programs, and an annual summer arts festival.

Position Summary
The Database Specialist reports to the Network Administrator. The primary responsibilities of the Database Specialist are to help ensure the information in Munson-Williams’ customer management (CMS) database is accurate and updated regularly, and to help staff obtain information from the database.
Job duties include maintaining data within customer and services databases; assisting in the improvement of processes for data entry; analyzing data sets; importing and exporting data as required; and assisting with report creation and queries for the export of data. The Database Specialist will also act as liaison between IT staff and CMS vendors.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Maintaining Databases
Assist with and monitor the updating of information within Munson-Williams databases.
Maintain the services (mNet) database by entering new information and updating account information, ensuring its accuracy, and making corrections.
Assist with the development and use of policies and procedures on the input, export, and use of data maintained in the database.
Importing, Exporting and Reporting Generation
Assist with the importing and exporting of data, assuring accurate results.
Work with staff and vendors for the creation of data driven reports and analytics. Query database for specific analytics and results for the creation and export of lists, the use of lists with mail merges and report writing software.
Administration/Maintenance of Web Services (mNet)
Take a lead role in the administration of staff users’ access to the system, set up accounts and access permissions. Train staff members in the role and use of the system. Assists in the creation of policies, procedures, and training materials.
Be the first point of contact for troubleshooting the services and coordinating with vendors for resolution of problems, updates, and changes within the service.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
The Database Specialist I requires a 2-year degree in a related field or 2 years of related on-the-job experience.
Working knowledge of customer management systems (CMS), the desire and ability to learn new applications and processes, and exceptional attention to detail.
High proficiency of the use of spreadsheets in data reporting, a working knowledge of MS Access, and SQL-type databases.
Strong math, reading, analytical, and deductive/inductive reasoning skills.
Effective organizational and time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and follow through on all assignments with minimal direction.
Excellent communication skills and professional interpersonal skills to interact with Munson-Williams staff and faculty.
Critical thinking, consensus building, and problem-solving skills.

Gallery Guard (Full time and PT Relief)
Accepting applications for Gallery Guard (Full time and PT Relief) openings. Gallery Guards ensure the safety and security of Institute visitors, staff, faculty, students, art collection, and museum buildings by protecting against theft, vandalism, and fire. Gallery Guards respond to visitor/employee needs and inquiries in a professional and courteous manner and respond quickly with professional judgment in emergencies. Essential Job Functions
Acts as groundskeeper by; planting, pruning, fertilizing, transplanting flowers, trees, shrubs, removal of litter, mowing, edging, weeding, removal of snow/ice from parking lots/driveways/walking surfaces/stairways.
Assists in construction of annual summer arts festival fencing, stage and FE Invitational.
Assist with other projects in maintenance, custodial or other areas when needed.
Make pick up and deliveries for all Institute departments, which could include office moves, exhibition pedestals/risers/furniture, dorm furniture, items from painting/storage or other storage areas.
Make trash pickups and separate recyclables.

Working Environment
The Groundsworker will regularly stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, sit, climb and may lift and carry heavy (up to 50 lbs) materials for throughout the day. Significant portions of daily assignments involve application of manual skills requiring motor coordination in combination with finger dexterity. A majority of the work is subject to seasonal conditions and weather extremes.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
High School diploma or equivalent and 1 to 3 years of job-related experience.
Proficient with all types of gasoline, diesel and power equip (i.e. plow truck, 4WD tractor).
Basic knowledge of small engine repair.
Valid NYS Driver’s license.
Responsible for upkeep, maintenance and service to all Grounds equipment (working knowledge of small engine repair).
Effective organizational and time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and follow through on all assignments with minimal direction.
Ability to safely operate grounds power equipment (zero turn mower, ride on tractor, push mower, string trimmer, snow thrower, chain saw, leaf blower, hedge trimmer, aerator, sod cutter, leaf vacuum, etc.).
Ability to safely operate a plow truck, UTV (Bobcat), broom, compact tractor with loader.
Ability to safely tow and backup a 12’ dump trailer with electric brakes.

The School of Art at Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute is seeking fine art models. Modeling for the School of Art involves posing, nude or semi-nude*, for figure classes in both the Community Arts Education and PrattMWP college programs. Sessions typically run 3 hours and models will be expected to remain in the pose requested by the instructor for an extended period of time. Models may be scheduled for a variety of sessions according to their availability. The School of Art cannot guarantee a certain amount of hours per week, month, etc. Classes run Monday through Friday and sessions are broken into the following timeframes:
8:30 - 11:30, 9-12 noon, 12:30 - 3:30, 1-4 pm and 6:30-9:30 pm
Applicants must be punctual, professional, and reliable. All ages (must be over 18 years old) and body types are encouraged to apply. Prior modeling experience is
preferred, but not required. The pay rate is $13/hr.

Position Summary
The Projectionist provides audio/visual technical support for Performing Arts films (approximately 50 films per year) and third party events (approximately 8 events per year such as B-Sharp or Chamber Music). The Projections will provide film projections, sound and lighting control, microphone use, and digital image projection (i.e. slideshows, short films, Powerpoint presentations).
Essential Job Functions
Provide audio/visual technical support for Munson-Williams Film Series events once per week
Provide audio/visual technical support for third party events for those requiring less technical requirements
Occasionally provide audio/technical support in the event the Technical Manager is not available due to vacation or a conflicting event
Other duties as required
Education and Experience
One to three years of job-related experience in a performing arts venue or movie theater
Effective organizational and time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and follow through on all assignments with minimal direction;
Excellent communication skills and welcoming and professional interpersonal skills to interact with Munson-Williams staff, faculty, third-party facility renters, and the general public.
Knowledge of basic audio and visual equipment set up and operation, including theatrical lighting and sound systems. Specialized knowledge of Digital Cinema Projection is also required (training is available). Basic video editing skills are required using software such as Final Cut, Photoshop, YouTube, etc. and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
Part-Time Position
Hiring rate: $15.00 hourly
Hours: Flexible schedule based on events and films. Evening and weekend work is required.

Residence Life Assistant Coordinator
Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute is seeking to fill the position of Residence Life Assistant Coordinator (RLAC). The RLAC is a 12-month, live-in position assigned to one of two residential areas that assist Student Life in the day-to-day administration of the residence hall(s). This position includes evening and weekend hours, as well as participation in the professional staff on-call rotation. The RLAC directly supervises the Resident Assistants assigned to the residence hall(s), oversees all housing operations, attends and leads meetings, upholds hall rules and regulations as outlined in the Student Handbook, responds/handles crisis management situations, performs departmental responsibilities, and assists with programming. Position Summary
Provide administrative support by maintaining efficient School of Art office operations and reception desk for the PrattMWP College and Community Arts Education (CAE) programs. The School of Art Administrative Assistant responsibilities include daily office tasks, enrollment registration of CAE (non-credit) students, routine bookkeeping, finance and office-related functions, mail distribution, and assistance to students (credit and non-credit), staff, faculty, and the general public.

Essential Job Functions
Ensure and promote student/public service, in a professional, welcoming and courteous manner, by answering phones, directing calls, providing information on classes, events, and by acting as first point of contact for the School of Art.
Assist with sales and enrollment of CAE classes:
Sales - understand class offerings, answer inquiries from current and prospective CAE students and suggest alternative courses to students if a course is at full enrollment.
Enrollment - perform various aspects of registering students on an ongoing basis over 3 semesters; process registrations either through on-line or by manual entry; mailing receipts and materials list to enrolled students. Notify students of class cancellations for low enrollment or other reasons. Perform routine data entry (database, class supplements, reports, etc.) in registration software.
Sort and distribute School of Art incoming mail to faculty, staff, and PrattMWP student mailboxes. Receive package deliveries and coordinates pick-up of packages from the reception desk. Distribute interoffice mail.
Perform finance-related duties by cashing in/out, completing deposit transmittals on a daily basis. Prepare and submits purchase orders as approved by the Dean to vendors for instructional supplies as requested by faculty and staff. Prepare payment requests for vendor purchase orders and faculty reimbursement requests for the purchase of instructional supplies for Dean’s approval. Enter expenses on spreadsheet to assist Dean in maintaining budgetary expenditures.
Support school functions by performing other administrative duties; work with faculty to hire, schedule, and prepare payment requests for figure models; receive artwork for student exhibitions; assist in training PT Reception staff; and general administrative support for faculty.
Provide service to students by working with Retail Operations Manager to stock and sell art supplies from the Reception area Campus Store extension.
Other responsibilities:

May be asked to work at special events
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Required: Associate’s Degree in office management or equivalent with 1 to 3 years of job-related experience or equivalent combination of degree and/or experience.
Demonstrated initiative, and ability to switch roles as necessary as part of a small, dynamic team are essential qualities.
Effective organizational and time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and follow through on all assignments with minimal direction;
Excellent communication skills and professional interpersonal skills to interact with Munson-Williams staff and faculty, students and other Munson-Williams constituents;
Critical thinking, consensus building, and problem-solving skills;
Ability to gather information, sort, draft, and provide analysis for budgetary and purchasing projects; and

Position Summary
Under the direction of the Student Life Director, the Student Activities and Leadership Coordinator is responsible for developing educational, social and cultural programs that support student learning and growth. The SALC will also develop student leadership programming that meets the standards set forth in PrattMWP and Pratt Institute mission statements. Assists in the development, planning, organizing and executing special campus events. This position includes evening and weekend hours, as well as participation in the professional staff on-call rotation. This is a 12 month position.

Events and Programs:
As advisor to and working with the PrattMWP Programming Board, develops, organizes, plans, executes, and promotes high quality events and programming.
Manages budgets, negotiates with vendors, reviews and approves performer contracts and technical riders.
Markets student events through weekly emails and coordinating with the Social Media Manager and Marketing and Communications.
Develops, promotes, and implements co-curricular, multicultural, intramural events/programs, community service projects, oversee new student groups and clubs registration.
Works with Birnie Bus Shuttle Service, fitness contractors, and Bon Appetit dining services.
Student Advising:
Act as PrattMWP Programming Board advisor. Train and oversee PrattMWP Programming Board and Student Government Association student members.
Act as the advisor of culturally diverse student organizations, including the Black Student Union and Pratt PRIDE.
Select, train, and supervise PrattMWP Peer Advisors for New Student Orientation.
Train and supervise college work-study students assigned to Student Activities.
Act as advisor for the Student Gallery Committee.
Leadership Programming:
Develop and implement student group leader training and instruction programs.
Coordinate PrattMWP leadership program, Connections, in order to develop PrattMWP student organization leaders, Resident Assistants, and Pratt Peers into high quality student leaders.
Special Events and Programs:
Under direction Student Life Director and appropriate departments where applicable, coordinate planning, organizing, set-up, breakdown, and participating in New Student Orientation; Family and Alumni Weekend; Commencement, and other inter-departmental events and programs.
On-Call and Crisis Management:
Act as part of professional on-call rotation. Provide crisis intervention in emergency situations, generally under the direction of the Student Life Director, Counselor, or MCAT response team.
Pre-College Program:
Develop and coordinate Pre-College Orientation program.
Serve as the Pre-College Student Activities Coordinator by developing, planning, and organizing all Pre-College residential programs, activities, and the gallery closing celebration.
Committee Work and Other Duties as Assigned:
May be asked to participate with organization-wide committees and special events.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
This position requires a minimum formal education of Bachelor Degree and 1 to 3 years of experience in planning and coordinating college-level student activities. Desired: Master’s degree in Education, Fine Arts, Student Development, College Student Personnel or related field preferred. Experience working with art students is highly desirable.
Effective organizational and time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and follow through on all assignments with minimal direction;
Excellent communication skills and polished and professional interpersonal skills to interact with Munson-Williams staff, students, and faculty;
Critical thinking, consensus building, and problem-solving skills;

Position Summary
The Student Life Assistant Director reports Student Life Director/Title IX Coordinator. The Student Life Office at PrattMWP College of Art and Design (a department at Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute) is responsible for the holistic development of the small student body (approximately 200 college students) that spend their first and sophomore years on the Utica, NY, extension campus before moving to Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY for their final two years.
The AD is a 12-month, live on- or off-campus position (negotiable) that is primarily responsible for the day-to-day residence life operations and shares Student Life responsibilities, including student conduct and Title IX roles. This position includes evening and weekend hours, as well as participation in the professional staff on-call rotation.
The AD directly supervises the residence life position(s) that supervise 10 Resident Assistants, oversees housing operations (including room assignments and damage billing), plans and executes Resident Assistant training and selection, responds/handles crisis situations, organizes the College’s conduct process, including training conduct hearing officers, and performs departmental responsibilities, including assisting with programming. Additionally, the AD will be trained as a Title IX adjudicator and advisor.

Operations:
Manage all operational aspects of student housing, managing the housing budget, assigning first year/new student housing placements, conducting sophomore student housing lottery and selection process, facilitating student room changes, conducting room inspections pre-arrival and post-departure for damage and repair, processing damage billing, and organizing all check-in and check-out operations.
Selection, Supervision, and Training:
Create a detailed plan for recruitment and retention of Resident Assistants.
Provide mentorship to the Residence Life team that supervises the Resident Assistants on campus. Provide consistent and constructive feedback to the Residence Life team on job performance, including organizing yearly evaluations.
Organize and lead all summer, winter, and in-service trainings, which help develop leadership and community building skills.
Student Conduct:
Work in conjunction with the Student Life Director/Title IX Coordinator to oversee the student conduct process and serve as primary hearing officer for all residential student policy violations.
Maintain and organize all student conduct records and reports. Train conduct hearing officers. Suggest updates to campus policies and Student Handbook.
On-Call and Crisis Management:
Act as part of the professional on-call rotation. Provide crisis intervention in emergency situations.
Student Retention:
Advise students on transition to college life and community living.
Refer students as needed to counseling, health, and academic services.
Work as part of the Student Advisory Committee to reach out to students of concern.
Title IX:
Serve as a Title IX Adjudicator and/or Advisor.
Pre-College Program:
Assist with the overall planning of PrattMWP’s annual summer PreCollege Program for high school students; oversee all residential aspects of the program, including housing assignments, check-in, damage procedures, and selecting and training the PreCollege RAs.
Community Building, Programming, Special Event Planning:
Manage residence life programming model and assist in designing meaningful intercultural community/educational programming for their residents.
Assist in planning Orientation, Commencement, and Family & Alumni weekend.
Committee Work and Other Duties as Assigned:
May be asked to participate with organization-wide committees and special events.

Required: Bachelor’s degree and previous experience as an RA or employment in Student Affairs;

Job Summary
Reporting to the Network Administrator, the Technical Support Manager manages day-to-day help desk requests, sets priorities, and assigns work. Supervises Support Technicians and oversees work-study students in their daily tasks and assignments. Installs, sets up, monitors personal computers and accessories for end-users and labs. Assists Network Administrator with maintenance and administration of network users and equipment.
Accountabilities
Administer/Maintain Network Systems: Install, configure, monitor, and maintain end-users computer systems, workstations, and accessories. Monitor and maintain servers, Ethernet networks, Wi-Fi networks, firewalls, and switches. Administer user network and server access, email accounts, and file permissions. Perform data back-ups
Manage Helpdesk Support: Assign personnel tasks, set priorities, and monitor the status of all helpdesk requests. Troubleshoot networks, computer systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties. Serve as an information systems resource, investigate user problems, identify, test, and implement solutions
Technician and Work-study Supervisor: Supervise support technicians, assign tasks, guide workflow, and assist with helpdesk tickets. Supervise work-study students in the performance of their duties and responsibilities. Assign work and tasks, monitor performance and adherence to procedures
Planning and Development: Assist the Network Administrator with thorough evaluation/recommendation for purchase and/or replacement of computer systems, equipment, application software, and lending equipment
Media Support: Assist students, faculty, and staff with planning, editing, or finalization of:
a. Digital media productions (filming, audio/video editing);
b. Multimedia Productions (prepares equipment for media presentations in galleries);
c. Web Development/Administration (assists with preparing media for websites and assists with website user administration).
Other duties: Create technical instructions for end-users, assist with research and procurement of supplies and technical equipment used at the Institute and perform other duties as reasonably assigned
Education and Experience
The Technical Support Manager position requires an Associates Degree or equivalent certifications and a minimum of 3 years of job-related experience. Desired criteria include: Multi-platform computer system to include MS Windows (up to current versions), MS Windows Servers, MS Active Directory, Apple OS, Google Workplace for Education, Google Workspace administration, Adobe Creative CloudSuite, VMware Host Servers, VMware V-Center
