MINI COURSE | Sit & Knit for Beginners
with Rebecca Robbins | Beginner | 16+
Are you a Total Beginner to knitting? Do you have no knitting knowledge, but want to learn? Dish clothes and/or a simple shawl would be a great way for you to get your needles working! They could be used by yourself or gifted to a loved one. This projects will teach you the basics of knitting, give you practice with tension, reading patterns, learning new stitches and get you on your way to more complex and lengthier “art of knit” projects.
Required materials list provided.

Meet your instructor, Rebecca!
She/Her
Rebecca Robbins is a visual artist with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art, concentrating in Photography, and a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design. Rebecca has a passion for turning simple yarn into great creations with texture, patterns and colors which can be worn or gifted. A lifelong creative, Rebecca discovered a love for knitting at an early age as a meditative counterbalance to the fast pace of everyday life. What began as a hobby quickly became a vital part of her artistic identity, influencing her approach to texture, pattern, and process. She believes in the power of slow art, handmade objects, and the quiet resilience of yarn.
Rebecca currently lives and works in the Mohawk Valley, and is excited to share her love of fiber craft through Munson Community Arts.
