A dynamic reinstallation of Munson’s American art before 1920 explores imaginations, identities, landscapes, and labor through the lens of artistic expression. Consider fantastic visions of life and landscape, generations seeking to project identity through painted and sculpted portraits, and evolving views of the natural world amid rapid industrial change. Later works examine art as a profession and the labor of others. Munson’s collection has been reimagined with help from community members and support from The Henry Luce Foundation.
