Step back in time as you explore this year’s Victorian Yuletide: Fancy Goods exhibition, and discover how this wondrous waterway changed the shopping experience not only in Utica but everywhere it flowed. Immerse yourself in the festive decorated rooms of Fountain Elms, take a ride on a horse-drawn wagon, and stop in for cookies and hot chocolate at the Terrace Café. Visit the Root Court to make a homemade ornament from recycled materials, listen to live music, or do a little shopping at the Art Market and the Museum Shop.

Explore Victorian Yuletide: Fancy Goods. The exhibition showcases objects created to commemorate the canal, from fine silver to imported china, revealing how these early “fancy goods” helped shape today’s holiday shopping traditions.

Pulse, a youth-driven creative music program, will share holiday tunes and showcase emerging local talent. Created by Jovita Bernard, owner of the Academy of Performing & Creative Arts, Pulse empowers young performers through fully funded training and performance opportunities.
