Drawing the human figure is an enjoyable and powerful exploration that serves as a universal link to the culture of artists and art. This class focuses on visual skills and analysis, investigating gestures, proportions, and anatomy while expanding a drawing vocabulary. Figure drawing serves as a great starting point for those curious about drawing as well as an essential tool for advanced artists to keep sharpened. Nude models used. Required materials list provided.

Chad Smith

CHAD SMITH holds a BA in drawing and painting and MFA in painting from the Academy of Art University. He is an instructor at Pratt Munson College of Art and Design, Mohawk Valley Community College as well as teaching workshops and private students. Chad has enjoyed multiple solo and group exhibitions and has New York representation in Saratoga, Lake Placid, and Old Forge. Chad resides in New Hartford, New York with his wife Erin and two labs, Sargent and Ronin.
